INSURANCE CREDIT FOR TECHNICALLY ADVANCED AIRCRAFT (TAA).

Aviation Insurance Resources (AIR) is now offering a 10% Credit off of your hull and liability premiums through AIG Aviation on Technically Advanced Aircraft (TAA) for piston powered pleasure and business use aircraft. The credit is well deserved for those aircraft and pilots who equip themselves well with both equipment and the knowledge derived from good training.

To be considered TAA for this credit the aircraft must have an IFR approved GPS, Moving Map Display and at least a 2 axis autopilot. It must also have at least two of the following, Terrain Awareness, Traffic Avoidance, Fuel Totalizer, Required Navigation Performance (RNP), Weather monitoring (Lightning, Datalink or Radar).

Additionally the named pilot must complete both an Instrument Proficiency Check (IPC) in the insured aircraft and an Air Safety Foundation (ASF) course within the past twelve months. These courses are available free online. Qualifying courses are Single Pilot IFR, Datalink, Runway Safety, IFR GPS and Thunderstorms.
